Meme Mania Competition on Sonic — 1 Million OS in Prizes

1 million OS will be distributed to the top 125 holders of the 8 winning memecoins, rewarding loyal community members.
Meme Mania brings attention to leading memecoins on Sonic, while distributing the liquid staking OS token to community members. The competition is not just about the prizes; it’s a way to showcase Sonic as the fastest EVM blockchain available and its incredible ecosystem that keeps growing every day.

Rewards Distribution
The top 125 holders of the 8 winning memecoins will receive prizes. 100% of the prize pool is allocated to holders.

- 1st Place – 250,000 OS
- 2nd Place – 175,000 OS
- 3rd Place – 150,000 OS
- 4th Place – 125,000 OS
- 5th Place – 100,000 OS
- 6th Place – 85,000 OS

- 8th Place – 50,000 OS
Distribution is proportionally allocated based on the number of tokens each holder has among the top 125 holders. To qualify, you must be ranked in the top 125 and have bought the tokens from a DEX (not received them as a transfer). If you deposit your tokens into a liquidity pool on a DEX, you’re still counted as a holder.
Your total holdings are calculated as follows:
- Tokens held directly in your wallet.
- Tokens deposited in liquidity pools, weighted by your share of the LP.
The following addresses are excluded:
- Burn addresses (e.g. 0x0000... and 0x...dead).
- Blacklisted addresses.
- Contract addresses (except for Safe multisigs).
- Centralized exchange (CEX) addresses.
Scoring Formula
Memecoins are ranked based on a points system that prioritizes liquidity (TVL) and trading volume. The formula used to calculate a token’s score is shown below.

Final score = (0.8 × liquidity) + (0.2 × liquidity volume)
Key Rules:
- Only tokens paired with USDC, WS, stS, or OS as liquidity are included in the calculation.
- Only liquidity positions with at least 0.3% fee are included in the calculation.
- Single-token liquidity positions are not included in the calculation.
- Liquidity (or TVL) is measured as a median over the course of the competition instead of snapshots to prevent last-minute manipulation.
Keep in mind that providing liquidity is not necessary to earn rewards as a holder — prizes are distributed based on token holdings, not liquidity contributions. The liquidity factor is only used for rankings, determining where each token places on the leaderboard.
However, if you want to help your memecoin climb the ranks while still qualifying for rewards, you can provide liquidity and still be counted as a holder.

Eligibility Criteria
To participate, a token must be considered a “memecoin” or “community token”. Tokens must fulfill these criteria:
- Complete the application form.
- Verified contract and ownership renounced.
- Listed on CoinGecko and DEX Screener (both optional, but kindly requested).
- A token’s liquidity must be burned or locked via a whitelisted launchpad.
- Must not be a governance, tax, DEX-emission, or mintable token.
- Minimum 250,000 USD market cap for a rolling 3-day average.
Review Period
After the competition ends, there’ll be a review period, starting March 9 until March 21, 2025, where Sonic Labs will assess any potential gaming or manipulation of the competition.
Once the review is complete, we’ll distribute rewards to all winning holders. Participants with rewards exceeding $10,000 must complete KYC by emailing bd@soniclabs.com.
